My New Year

ohhh after a long time I am again here on my blog...I have never thought that someone will find my blog and read this as well as write comments here....but frankly speaking I am writing here for myself and that too in a free time or say jst my hobby :) If I am hurting any1's feelings then Sorry.

well this is my first post in 2009 sooo let me flash back to d last year.....When I think back on 2008, I can say with certainty that the year has been far from boring. but on a more positive side, people around the globe seem more interested in peace than ever before. Focusing on peace and hope is a great way to start the new year. For me peace and hope begin inside of me and then, like a rippling effect, spread outward to those around me, like my friends, family, coworkers and more. oohhh I think thts a wonderful way to spread positive thoughts and energy whts say ?? I can invite the positive into my own life.

My dad says tht I should do my work on my own...I should look after myself ...I should spend time wid myself..... I should know how to give myself what I need. And I think to experience peace, I need to be relaxed.

sometimes I also feel that Spending quality time with the ones whom I love or say who are very close to me can touch my life . So,I am just making an effort in my relationships with family and friends to communicate honestly and with love. Such actions can heal old wounds and forge new bonds that are based on love and respect. I wish this behavior of mine may help me to create peacefulness and calmness in both myself and others. well I think as human beings, it is good to remember those who are struggling or experiencing rough and tough times. Consider volunteering at the local food bank or donating clothing. By giving of myself towards good deeds,I will generate positive energy that will be reflected back to me many times over.

I hope that I will consider my own suggestions in thinking about my hopes for 2009. By taking care of myself and focusing on the positives in my life and the world, I can help myself to spread peace, hope and love.

Unforgettable experience of mine

Recently, I was having dinner with my didi and jiju at a local restaurant on a bitterly cold evening. As we left the restaurant we came upon an elderly homeless man who was asking another couple for loose change. I heard the woman say to her partner, "Don't give him anything. He will just spend it on drugs or alcohol." As the couple ducked their heads and scurried away, the homeless man turned his attention to us.

While I was thinking about the best way to help this man, jiju suddenly pulled up a car next to him, he rolled down the window, and he took a packet that looked like a wrapped sandwich and placed in the man's hands along with a pair of his gloves and scarf that he had been wearing. With a surprised look on his face, the old man thanked both didi and jiju. He tucked the sandwich away in the pocket of his tattered coat, then he put on the gloves and wrapped the scarf around his neck and ears.

I must tell you that I was very humbled by all of this. I consider myself a giving person and someone who goes out of her way to be helpful to others, but that night, while I was deciding the best course of action, didi and jiju stepped in and actually did something practical and helpful.

I then looked into my bag, pulled out some money and handed it to the elderly man, who thanked me several times. Afterwards I saw him go into the corner market and come out with a bag. He walked over to a homeless woman in a nearby doorway of a shop and gave her the bag. Inside was a container of formula, which she poured into a bottle, and began to feed to a baby she had tucked underneath many layers of coats and blankets. The man took off the scarf and added it to the protective bundle surrounding the infant. And for the second time in one night, I felt humbled.

This experience really reinforced for me the importance of listening to my heart and being willing to just do something, no matter how small, when I see a need. We always have the choice to do something when we see the need, and we shouldn't underestimate what we can do. The things we do give -- a sandwich, a scarf, money or even just a friendly smile at the right time, may be more important than we will ever know.

My favourite pastime : SPENDING TIME WID NATURE :)

How long has it been since I expressed my creativity? In the daily rush to meet deadlines and fulfill obligations, my creative self often gets shuffled to the sidelines. And that's not a good thing as my creativity is so closely connected to my sense of self-fulfillment. Creativity helps me to experience the magical and playful side of life. It lets me explore my passions and express myself artistically.

In my case, my preferred creative passion is my garden. I love spending time tending to my rose plants. They delight my senses and fill me with much joy and satisfaction. It is a very grounding pastime, and one that I also get to share with others as well by spending many glorious hours talking about our gardening experiences.

Sadly, many people don't consider themselves creative, especially if they don't write, paint or play music. But that is a limited perspective of creativity. Within each and every one of us exists an artistic being just waiting for the opportunity to shine. And,I think, that is not to be taken lightly!

My creative expression touches me on a very personal level. It can be as simple and spontaneous as singing while driving car or say my pleasure. It can be a playful moment of making up a silly things or making my home a special place for me and for those close to me to relax and enjoy.

So,my friend (specially Riddhi I used to call her Rydham :-),one of my best friends), how do you express your creativity, and when was the last time you did that? If it's been a while, I hope my thoughts (I know I know for u its lecture ) will serve as an inspirational reminder to exercise your inner artist! Just open yourself up to the possibilities around you, and hopefully you will find ways to explore, nurture and enjoy your creative side!
